This is the ultimate icon of Kenya ,Tanzania and Zanzibar. This scarlet cloak predominantly wrapped around the body by the Maasai. This red shuka traditionally is meant to ward off wild animals and to be visible from far across the savanna. It is wrapped around the body by men and belted at the waist. It is also used by women as baby carriers and blankets , scarfs ,picnic spreads , table cloths as well as sofa or bed throws.
